CHORIZO’s work is underpinned by the following:

• Recognising the role of social norms on FLW behaviour, will result in improved ability to deliver more effective guidance, actions, and tools, to assist food chain actors towards zero FW.
• Bridging various R&I activities and learning feedback mechanisms, will ensure that scientific evidence feeds into innovative outcomes and vice-versa, while at the same time, research questions that emerge through the real-life case studies are addressed by research activities.
• Having real-life case studies to provide empirical data, validate project results and promote the project in their own industries will ensure a strong and wide impact.
• Integrating gender and intersectional analysis will help to interpret social norm and behavioural data and to engineer innovation processes and outputs.
• Establishing open & social innovation as a horizontal facilitator throughout the project will help address complex problems that require social change, like FLW.
