Brussels, 20-22 May 2025
The CHORIZO Project participated at the FOODPathS Festival 2025, celebrated from May 20th to 22nd in Brussels, gathering experts, policymakers, and innovators committed to building sustainable food systems.
The FOODPathS Festival was designed to inspire and stimulate the discussion with participants on how to make food systems sustainable through the collaboration among different stakeholders, working together (in partnership) on Research & Innovation, science for Policy and Education (RIPE).
At this three-day event, participants had the chance to explore the ‘prototype of a partnership’ developed by the FOODPathS project as a multi-actor collaboration on food systems sustainability during the first day.
The second day was dedicated to different discussions: feedback sessions on the partnership prototype, sharing suggestions for its improvement, and other parallel sessions that included the CHORIZO session on “How to apply social norms to reduce food waste”.
Our partners from the CSCP celebrated a successful session of the Capacity Building program, that engaged participants with practical tools and strategies to tackle food loss and waste, while promoting shifts in social norms and consumer behavior.
During the whole event, participants had extra time for interaction and networking; moreover, thanks to posters presented about different initiatives, attendees have the possibility to learn and share about ongoing activities, projects and future opportunities on the food systems challenges. Our partners from FIAB take the chance to present the CHORIZO project poster and demonstrate how CHORIZO is contributing to sustainable transformation of the food systems.
The festival emphasized the importance of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and systemic solutions in addressing the complex challenges of food sustainability.
