On September 19, the CHORIZO project actively participated in the Monthly Café Talk organized by the EU-funded WASTELESS project. The session, titled From Data to Decisions: How the CHORIZO Visualizer Supports Food Waste Reduction Actions, was led by our colleagues from the University of Bologna (UNIBO).
During the event, UNIBO presented the FLW Rapid Appraisal/Visualizer Tool, developed within the CHORIZO project. This user-friendly tool translates complex scientific models into practical insights, enabling policymakers, researchers, educators, NGOs, and industry actors to explore ready-made scenarios in both household and hospitality contexts. Without requiring advanced modelling expertise, the tool helps stakeholders identify high-impact strategies for food waste reduction by showing how behaviors interact with different social and environmental settings.
The Café Talk highlighted how the CHORIZO Visualizer makes scientific results accessible, actionable, and decision-oriented, empowering stakeholders to design interventions that can effectively contribute to the EU’s zero food waste goals.
