From the 18th to the 21st of March took place ALIMENTARIA BARCELONA 2024 in Barcelona, one of the major trade fairs for the food and drinks industry, foodservices and hospitality. This year’s edition was marked by international participation that has once again brought together the entire sector and advanced the industry’s main lines and trends. More sustainable and healthier habits and products, as well as AI and robotics solutions for the Horeca channel have been presented during these days at the event.

Alimentaria Barcelona is a relevant event full of congresses, seminars, conferences, awards ceremonies and product and research presentations for industry, distribution and retail. FIAB, as key partners of the fair, had the chance to organize different sessions called ALIBER: “Hidden in plain sight”.

On Wednesday 20th of March, CHORIZO project was presented in the framework of a Living Lab for European projects, where different topics were covered: Sustainable Food Systems, Healthy and Sustainable diets, Food Safety innovations and Fight against Food Waste. The Living Lab session was promoted via social media, and key food actors were invited as attendees.
